Like to save time,
postage and write fewer checks? We can help!!!
Southwest Rural Electric Cooperative offers the option of
having the electric bill paid by bank draft. No worry about payments
being delayed or lost in the mail. No worry about payments when on
vacation or out of town, the bank draft offers convenience and peace
of mind.
The process is simple. A bank draft authorization form is completed,
signed and returned to the office with a voided check copy. The
voided check copy is needed to get the codes necessary to submit
the draft for payment. The bank is notified with a test of the file
verifying account numbers and routing codes prior to the first draft.

The bill is mailed to the member so they are aware of the amount
to be deducted from the bank account on the selected date. The bank
draft accounts have “Amt Due - Bank draft – Do Not Pay”
printed in the remittance portion of the bill. The bank draft offers
two dates for withdrawal the 10th and the 25th. The drafted amount
appears on the member’s bank statement.
AUTOMATED CREDIT CARD PAYMENT
This plan works the same as the bank draft but the member signs
a credit card authorization and provides us with credit card number
and expiration date. This plan offers three dates for payment the
5th, 15th or 25th of each month.
