Here’s how it works:
The current month’s bill is added to the past 11 month’s bills and any debit or credit created by average billing. This amount is divided by 12 months to get the average monthly bill. If there are any adjustments to your account for purchases or miscellaneous charges those charges are added to the budget. The monthly budget amount is the budget amount and any additional charges.

The average monthly bill is not a set amount each month it can vary from $2.00 to $5.00 each month. This plan is conducive to budgeting as it levels your annual usage.

Here are the requirements…..

• Have a 12 month billing history with Southwest Rural Electric Cooperative
• No unpaid balance
• No history of returned checks
• Must agree to pay the average bill on time. Two consecutive late payments will constitute removal from the program.
• Upon removal from the program the total balance on the account is due and payable
• Average Monthly Billing only available to residential & farm services.
• Credit history must reflect good payment record.
